About the Islamic Institute of Philosophy

Bismillah Ramanir Raheem

Founded in 2005 by Sheikh Aazim Muhajir Al-Amin, an attempt to make the study of Islamic Philosophy easier for the student. It was our goals to establish an institute that would be able to offer a distance learning 2 year certificate program, and be able to offer Master’s courses, to a wide range of students, with a diverse backgrounds. Those of the Islamic Faith, and those from other Faiths. English is the language of the program, allowing it accessible to almost all.

Our Programs, Alhadmulillah, takes all sources from Arabic, Urdu, Persian, Hindu, and many other languages and offers the best translations to English. There are many sources of studying Islamic Philosophy, but none offer a full course on the subject. Not Only do we go in-depth in the history and development of Islamic Philosophy, we also offer a study in the lives of the Philosophers, to get a full understanding of why they say what they say. From there the course focuses on the original works by the Philosophers, of course in brilliant English translations. We gather all available resources to produce this course, and we feel we have gathered all that is needed for one to fully understand Islamic Philosophy and allowing themselves to be a scholar of Philosophy at the time of completion of this course.

The Islamic Institute of Philosophy uses state-of-the-art textbooks, written by scholars. We offer this complete course at the lowest cost to all students, and profit is not a concern for us. We will continue to work at accrediting our certificates with officials from the Islamic World. We Pray, Insha’Allah that those who study with us, will go on to teach Islamic Philosophy to others, and creating a renaissance of this field in a much needed time.
